Two four-bedroom houses in Pocono Lake, compared

If you want four bedrooms in Pocono Lake, the two homes to look at first are Wooded Bliss, which sleeps eleven, and Cedar Grove, which sleeps twelve. Both sit inside the gated Arrowhead Lake community, both have a private hot tub, and both put a firepit and a grill within a few steps of the door. They are not interchangeable. One is built around two master suites and a bathroom count that quietly solves the worst morning of any group trip; the other is built around bunk beds, a garage full of games, and a king bedroom with an office attached.
There's a third home worth knowing about before you go further: Elegance Peak is also a four-bedroom, but it sleeps eight. If your group is eight or fewer, it belongs on your list. If you are ten, eleven, twelve, it does not, and that difference matters more than any amenity.
Count beds before you count bedrooms
Four bedrooms in Pocono Lake can mean a house for eight or a house for twelve, and the gap is entirely in how the rooms are filled. Cedar Grove gets to twelve with a king, a queen, a room with two full beds, and a room with two bunk beds, twin over full. All four bedrooms are on the second floor, which keeps the sleeping end of the house together and is useful if you're putting kids to bed while the adults are still downstairs.
Wooded Bliss gets to eleven differently, with two master suites, each with its own bathroom and walk-in closet. That is the configuration multi-generational groups keep asking for: grandparents with a door that closes and a bathroom they don't share with teenagers. The house carries three and a half bathrooms, which for eleven people is generous. Cedar Grove has two and a half for twelve, with one of them en-suite to the king room, so the effective count for everyone else is lower than it looks on paper.
- Wooded Bliss: 4 bedrooms, sleeps 11, 3.5 baths, two master suites, hot tub on the rear deck, firepit, grill on the large front deck, toys and books for small kids, crib and high chair.
- Cedar Grove: 4 bedrooms, sleeps 12, 2.5 baths, all bedrooms upstairs, private hot tub, firepit, foosball and air hockey in the garage, Wi-Fi up to 440 Mbps, parking for four cars.
Wooded Bliss: the one to book when privacy is the problem
Two en-suite masters in a four-bedroom house is unusual, and it changes the arithmetic of a family trip. Two couples can each have a real door and a real bathroom without anyone drawing straws, and the remaining bedrooms absorb the kids. The hot tub is on the rear deck and fits four. The grill and the outdoor seating are out front on the larger deck, which means you can have one group eating dinner and another soaking without anyone tripping over anyone.
For anyone travelling with a toddler, this house provides a pack-n-play and a high chair, plus a corner of toys, books and games. It also keeps the small things stocked: salt, pepper, cooking oil, laundry detergent, dish soap. Bring your own firewood and fire starters for the pit, which you can pick up at the deli just outside the community gate.
Thirty-five guests have reviewed it, which is the largest review count among the Pocono Lake homes here, and it holds a 9.6. The optional golf cart mentioned in the listing isn't available until spring 2027, so plan on driving.
Cedar Grove: for the group that will be indoors some of the time
Cedar Grove sleeps twelve and takes the rain seriously. The garage has been turned into a game area with foosball and air hockey, the Wi-Fi runs up to 440 Mbps, and there's a fireplace in the living room for the evenings in March when the deck is not the answer. The hot tub is private, the firepit is on the deck, and the community pool is close by, though pools here only run from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
The king bedroom comes with an en-suite bathroom and an office, which is the detail that makes this the better of the two for anyone who has to log on mid-week. A dedicated workspace inside a bedroom with a door is worth more than a desk in a corner of an open-plan living room with eleven other people in it.
One thing to know before booking: a cat is occasionally present in the home, so it may not suit guests with severe pet allergies. Neither Cedar Grove nor Wooded Bliss takes dogs. If you're bringing one, look at Lakewood Mountain instead, a five-bedroom that allows up to two dogs with a pet fee and happens to have an indoor hot tub and sauna on the ground floor.
When four bedrooms isn't quite the right question
Plenty of people search for four bedrooms when what they mean is "room for ten or twelve." If that's you, widen the search, because the five-bedroom homes in Pocono Lake solve different problems. Lakehouse Legacy is actually on the water, with a lake view, four and a half bathrooms for ten guests, and a game room with a pool table and an arcade machine. Mountain Haven Retreat is a bi-level with a gym and a game room on the lower floor, a playground outside, and the trade-off of only two bathrooms for ten people, which is fine for one family and tight for two. Game and Spa Getaway backs onto game lands and pairs a hot tub with a sauna.
Going the other way, if your group is eight, Elegance Peak gives you four bedrooms with a pool table and a hot tub, and the community's heated pool is a short walk in summer. A smaller group in a house sized for twelve is money spent on rooms nobody opens.
What the gate gets you
Arrowhead Lake is private and gated, and every one of these homes sits inside it. The community runs two lakes, three outdoor pools with snack bars, four sand beaches with playgrounds, tennis and basketball and sand volleyball courts, and a rental shack for rowboats, canoes, paddle boats and bikes. The Community Lodge has three fireplaces, a library, a fitness room, game rooms and a banquet hall, and it is where the year-round activity happens once the outdoor season closes. The community borders Brady's Lake state gamelands, so the backdrop is forest rather than neighbours.
Two caveats that trip people up. First, the pools, beaches and rental shack are seasonal: pools open Memorial Day weekend and close after Labor Day. Second, access runs through the Arrowhead Lake Community Association, not through the house, so these are shared amenities on the association's schedule, and individual facilities can close for weather, maintenance or staffing. Worth confirming the status of anything you're planning the trip around.
Community fees are mandatory, separate from the rental, and set by the association. They cover temporary membership (priced per person per day, cheaper off-season, free for children under six), a gate card per vehicle, and a one-time administration fee per stay. They must be paid in advance, and registrations can't be processed within a day of arrival, so sort them early. We'll need guest names, the number of children, and full details for every driver and car to submit on your behalf.
Getting there, and what's within reach
You need a car. The community sits within twenty minutes of I-380 and I-80, and then the roads narrow and the houses thin out, which is the point. Jack Frost and Big Boulder are the closest skiing, roughly twenty to twenty-five minutes depending where in the community your house sits. Kalahari's indoor waterpark and Pocono Raceway are both around twenty-five minutes, Camelback and Mount Airy Casino closer to half an hour, and Hickory Run State Park is about the same. Tobyhanna State Park has a trail loop around the lake and is one of the shorter drives.
Just outside the main gate, Pinewood Deli handles firewood and the forgotten thing. For a real grocery run, Ahart's Market in Blakeslee is the nearest, with Weis, Walmart, ALDI and CVS all in range. Each house is stocked with enough essentials for about two or three nights, so a longer stay means one shopping trip early.
So which one
For eleven people with two couples who want their own bathrooms, Wooded Bliss. For twelve people, kids in bunks, a long weekend with a rainy afternoon in it and somebody who has to take a call on Monday morning, Cedar Grove. For eight, Elegance Peak. Both four-bedroom homes carry 9.6 ratings and both sit behind the same gate, so you're choosing between bathroom count and sleeping capacity, not between a good house and a lesser one.
